Key Club "Caring - Our Way of Life"
What makes Key Club so successful is that it is a student
led organization that teaches leadership through serving
others.
Key Club is the oldest and largest service program for
High School students world wide.
PCM Key Club was chartered in March of 2005 with 12
active members.
Members meet at PCM High School weekly and have a school
advisor and Kiwanis advisor.
They have grown in 2007 to 40 members.
The participate in UNICEF, March of Dimes on the
international level.
Service projects they do for the community are...
1. Help hang and take down flags in the cemetery on
designated holidays.
2. Plant, weed, and water the Tools Point Park flower
garden.
3. Participate in Kiwanis One Day by putting on
"Child Safety Awareness" bicycle safety project.
4. They join in on helping the Monroe Kiwanis if
possible.
Outside the community they do a
"Backpack" project. They fill backpacks for the
children at Children and Families of Iowa and also volunteer
in the classroom when they deliver the backpacks.
Fundraisers - at this time are:
1. Selling homemade roses at the High School and Middle
School for Valentines Day.
2. Having a Fun Project at the Monroe Old Settlers
Celebration.
3. Contracting mowing and flower up keep for the Monroe
Health Center.
